Around Ohio

As I read today about Farrah Fawcett’s death from cancer, I was surprised to see she got her start right here in Ohio.

Well, sort of.

Ohio.com reports that a Medina poster company took a chance on printing a Farrah poster. That one that every kid I knew in the 1970s had. That made them plenty after Farrah skyrocketed to fame on Charlie’s Angels.

What’s more amazing is that I am talking about the death of an icon FROM MY CHILDHOOD. God, how did I get this old?

I remember the Farrah poster everywhere. I remember every girl in school had her hairdo. We all loved her on Charlie’s Angels.

And now Farrah is gone.  People always say to me “you’re only as old as you feel.”  Now I’m feeling older by the minute.

I don’t know about all of you, but I about faint when I see what they want for fresh produce in the grocery store these days. $2.99 for one pepper?!?
