With the fairly cool summer we’re having here in Ohio, I’ve been hearing “see, global warming IS a hoax!” coming from various mouths around town.

Uh, hardly.

Hear about the heat wave in the Pacific northwest? All-time record high temperatures being shattered. This is how things work, one extreme in one part of the country, a different extreme in another.

Folks, climatology is about the overall change in Earth’s climate over time, not the particular temperature in a particular spot on a particular day.

Get over it.
